Go Mommy turns One! My Blog Anniversary- the Inspiration & Journey so far

Happy birthday to us! Today is our one year blog anniversary and I can’t believe how a whole year has gone by so fast, but that surely means we are having fun!

Apparently, most bloggers quit before they get to the year point so it’s a big deal for me and gives enough & more reasons to celebrate!

The Inspiration

Those of you who know me, know that I am a restless soul. Having been a part of the corporate rat race for over 8 years, a sudden pause post delivering our twins, felt like a black hole. While I was enjoying each & every moment of motherhood, I began looking for the real “me” somewhere. I would occasionally get lost in my thoughts, my past, my future. It was one such restless night when I just poured my heart out and shared a part of my life in writing on a famous Parenting platform (then called mycity4kids). Within 24 hours of publishing that note, I got over 60k readers with hundreds of messages and likes.

I still didn’t know if that was my calling. But thanks to my husband and his motivation, in the following few days he set up a website and designed a logo for me. He’s always been a go-getter and has always persuaded me to take a plunge at every stage, every challenge in my life. And that’s how it all began…

When I started out, I didn’t really know what to expect. I was clueless and naive. I did have a couple of objectives with the blog- write about my experiences and learnings, write something that readers will find informative, something that adds value to them. Whether that’s through sharing my experiences or trying to make you laugh that’s what I aim to do with each post.

My stats at a year

What began as a platform to pour my heart out started picking up traction after around 4 months of conception. Go Mommy started getting recognised as an ‘influencer’ platform and I started getting opportunities to review productS, experience spaces meant for mommies and kids, attend events and share my opinions. All this & so much more that left me with no time to feel bored! I knew I would love this journey but I can’t express how much I am enjoying the world of blogging. Over the past 12 months, this is where we stand-

The way ahead

Well, the second year would unfold many more adventures of my life, that’s when Go Mommy goes back to work! Yes, it’s going to be new round of experiences, learnings. Plus our little ones are getting ready for their preschool and we are preparing ourselves for another set of rollercoaster of emotions.

So, let’s see what escapades await us all in year two!
